My husband and I stopped in to the Bike Barn off Kirby in Rice Village. We were greeted promptly when entering the store and directed to the rear of the store since we were searching for a new chain and cassette to replace on my bike. After standing at the counter for several minutes while one employee was browsing the lunch menu and the other looked over at us but ignored us, we began getting irriatated. After a few minutes, two guys walked in with a bike and immediately the guy behind the counter acknowledged them. We couldn't decide if it was that he was too lazy to help us, he didn't like our look or that we were hispanic. The two guys who walked in and immediately got help were white... I have never experienced anything like that in my life and I've been hispanic my whole life. I will tell everyone to give some of these smaller bike shops the opportunity to earn your business, apparently Bike Barn doesn't need it since several of the these reviews complain about the poor customer service. Try DANIEL BOONE bike shop, they earned my business!
