I switched back to Lakeside about 3 years ago (I have 7 animals). I found that other vets charged almost twice as much and didn't explain procedures as well. Lakeside does distemper shots every 3 years (which has been proven effective) versus other vets who do them yearly. They did 3 orthopedic surgeries on 3 different animals in the past 2 years with great results. They are at 1/2 the cost of other vets (yes, I priced it out!) for surgery. They are busy, but offer hours to meet almost any schedule (Saturdays & late evenings included). The sign of a good vet is the volume of clients that want to see them and are willing to wait.
