Having received a ""On Sale"" brocheur and in need of some furniture we took a drive to Berlin, Wilson's location.
When we began looking around, we were greeted by a pleasant sales associate (a tall woman) who seemed to be handling several customers. But it was downhill from there. As we walked around , no one seemed available and after a while a man can into the area but simply stared at us.( a Hello..maybe?) .When asked if he worked there, he acknowledged same (barely). He did direct us to what we were looking for and grudgingly off and on, provided some assistance.
After some deliberation, we asked a third associate for information and stood around for waiting for an answer. When she saw us she asked if she ""could help us"" ..as though she had forgotten why we were there. Although the answer to our question was ""no"", could we at least have been told that . To us, it just seemed typical of their operation.
At that point we decided to look elsewhere. We ended up spending 3X what we had planned because the second store seemed 3X more interested in helping us.
Wilson's has a nice selection of merchandise, that is very true. However, I don't think that they have improved their customer service very much since the review provided in 2005 (as below. ) And in this economy, I would think they would want to do better..esp. considering the seasonal type of business they are.
Pros: A good selection of merchandise.
Cons: Need customer service training.
