I have laundered my shirts at La Brea Cleaners for 10+ years. Yesterday that relationship was terminated.
The father and son (Muradian family) that run it are very friendly and courteous. Much more that the former ownership. The current owners have never lost one of my shirts, which is impressive.
Now the bad news. I asked them to dry-clean a pair of wood suit pants. The pants looked great afterward, but the zipper would not move without applying an enormous amount of strength and was essentially stuck. The zipper worked fluidly for years prior to the cleaning. Upon returning the pants to them, I gently asked them to REPAIR THE DAMAGE AND THE SON REFUSED.
I was angry that they impaired my garment and declined to restore it to functioning order. He didn't seem to care that I have been a long time patron. So I bid farewell to them and their unethical, cheapskate policies.
Pros: very friendly and courteous
Cons: unethical cheapskates
