I called into the Lake Piru office and asked if they had a spot for that weekend, they said yes. You can only make a two night minimum stay. I stated we would be there around 9p if that was ok, oh yes we will save your spot, number 11. We get there, our kids are asleep in the van and we pull up to space 11 and there is someone there who was rude and said they were there for 3 days already. We did find another spot and prayed it wasn't reserved. I went to the office the next morning and all I got was opps sorry... The camping is very dry, dirty, no privacy and absolutely NOTHING for the kids to do. We rented a boat and went out on the lake, that was the only fun thing, didn't catch any fish. The swimming area was closed because the lake is very very low. Will not go back again.
Pros: Marina employees were nice
Cons: Reservation office lacks professionalism and follow through
