I wish i could remomend Akari, its in a beautiful building in the Old Port. Unfortunately the salon area is very cold and uninviting. they are very over priced for the work they do. I have lived all over this country and been to many high end spas and salons- i was treated better in the salons in Beverly Hills and I don't look like I have money. Akari was a bit rude. Here I am in down to earth Maine and here I am treated like i don't matter at Akari. They need to learn how to treat their clients better. I asked for ABSOLUTELY NO RED IN MY COLOR AND I WALKED OUT A RED HEAD. Then I was told it wasn't possible to get my hair the color the way I wanted (then how has everyone else in the industry been able to do it before?) They did fix it no charge but i just wouldnt go back because I have never felt to akward and uncomfortable in a salon. You guys at Akari need to learn how to make your clients feel appreciated and comfortable. I am always happy to spend top dollar for my hair and skin- but not at Akari
