I've been fortunate to train at Jung SuWon for years and it is the best martial art and martial art school!
A friend of mine started training before I did and I used to come watch classes and testings for two years before I started training myself. The founder, Great Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim, is an incredible, inspiring teacher.. Her story, of overcoming 5000 years of Korean and martial arts culture to become the first female black belt in Tae Kwon Do, really motivated me. Jung SuWon is build on Great Grandmaster Kim's philosphy, He Can Do, She Can Do, Why Not Me?!
The testings I've seen have been just amazing. Kids and adults of all ages face challenges and over come them - for some the challengs is breaking a board, for others speaking infront of an audience. The confidence Jung SuWon brings out in all the students is inspiring.
After two years of watching classes, I decided, why not me! and I joined. I was not an athletic person, by any means, but Great Grandmaster Kim and her black belt instructors patiently taught me - not just physical techniques, but meditation, how to de-stress, set goals and accomplish them, and self confidence.
If you have a child over age 3 - they should be enrolled here! Jung SuWon has a great program for kids. Jung SuWon teaches children self confidence, self-discipline, respect, and how to set and achieve goals.
If you are an adult - Jung SuWon is the best place to learn how to de-stress, be more confident (if you need confidence), relax, and work out your body and your spirit.
