I take both my dogs to Hillside and have had nothing, but good experiences. Their hours make it super convenient to schedule appointments around my work schedule. Also, for the area, their prices are pretty competitive. We primarily see Dr. Huskey, who is great at explaining things in plain English and is incredibly capable. My dogs are pretty healthy, but one has required a major surgery. She talked me through it and made me feel at ease. She was also good at explaining the cost-benefit analysis of what my dog needed.
They do not offer any discounts for rescue pups, which I see as a drawback. However, when I've used the mobile PetVax place to save money on vaccinations, then submitted the records to Hillside, they've never given me a hard time about it.
I've never boarded my dogs there as I don't like the idea of them being confined in a kennel 24/7 save a few brief potty breaks. However, this is likely the set-up at pretty much any vet, which is why I use a facility dedicated to boarding (Barking Hound Village, which also has super convenient extended hours).
Pros: Hours, friendly staff, good prices for the area
Cons: No discounts for rescues
