let me say up front, i love utah...for a lot of things...one of those things is not it's restaurant culture. what is anathema to a thriving restaurant culture in utah? the customer base.
by and large, restaurant patrons in utah are enthralled with the corporate-restaurant ideal 'yes is the answer, what is the question?' just read the posts about cannellas...
cannellas really doesn't fit into the restaurant fabric of utah, and that's great. it's been able to thrive in such a harsh landscape where single-site, individually owned restaurants are not appreciated. in my opinion, its success has been due to three things: the ownership, the personality of its service employees and its fantastic food!
if you don't go cannellas expecting a 30-second table greet, you?ll wonder what the people who wrote negative reviews were thinking. embrace individuality, and take care of your local restaurants; visit cannellas!
