Luis the owner has been cutting my hair for over 11 years now, and I'm thrilled that he has such a nice salon of his own now! In addition to doing great cuts for both men and women (and doing the perfect, elusive, ""short cut for girls""), he does some serious magic with hair color.
I have seen him do amazing color and color correction jobs, even when all hope seemed lost. I'll never forget the day that I came in for a cut at the same time as a very attractive lady with very long, red hair..except that her root ends were orange and the rest of her hair was purple. A few hours and two processes later, she left the shop with gorgeous, silky golden-red locks, which is probably what she wanted before she reached for the Drug Store Red. He's also given me full color jobs and highlights in the past.
Add to this the shop's great atmosphere (if you're lucky, Luis' wife, Caroline, will be working the desk) and use of incredibly high-quality products coupled with a price list that's half that of the competition, and you can see why they're usually packed on the weekends.
While these guys do take walk-ins, if it's a weekend you should probably call ahead if you need something major done.
