I recently went to Opal's with some friends. We were seated on the upstairs ""patio"". Because it was so cold, they had all of the plastic walls down, so the patio was totally enclosed. Despite the enclosed space and the ""no smoking"" sign, they still allowed smoking out there, and within 15 feet of the upstairs entrance. When I complained to the bartender, he said ""I don't own the place, sweetie, I just work here"". Nice. When I complained to a waitress, she rudely asked me, ""Were you sitting up there?"" and told me that they enclose the space to make it more comfortable for the customer. Well, I'm a customer, but you know what isn't comfortable? Inhaling a bunch of carcinogens when I'm trying to eat.
Pros: Good beer.
Cons: Violation of the smoking ban.
