My stay at this motel was the worst I've ever had, and I have been all over the world. I was attending a law enforcement conference at the nearby Hampton, but they were all booked. I took a chance on the 40 ""Stinks"". I checked in around 4:00PM and left immediately to have dinner with friends in Butler. I returned about 6:30PM and stayed until around 9:00PM. I left again to see a band at the Hampton and returned to the 40 Winks around 11:45PM, after stopping at Taco Bell. My fiance and I ate our food at the 40 Winks and got ready for bed. As we undid the covers, there were body hairs(pubes) all over the sheets. We went to tell the desk clerk, but they were gone for the night. We called the Wauwatosa police and told them we had no where to sleep because the bed was full of hair. The police contacted the owner and both arrived at the same time. The owner was very polite until the officer left and then started accusing us of all sorts of things. He said the room was ""trashed"" and we wrecked one of his washcloths. It should be noted, we had our Taco Bell wrappers in the trash. My fiance had wiped her eye shadow on a washcloth before she went to bed. The ownwer is a nut! See yahoo motel ratings, this one and 2005. The owner told us to leave immediately and said he would call the nearby motels and tell them not to give us a room. I waited until I got my card refunded before I reported this motel to the Wauwatosa H. D.
