I take my dog, Lemon, to Pour La Pooch and have been doing so for years. She's a cockapoo and she actually likes going there (which says a lot for the place, since she used to hate going to ""the barber."" ) I've had many occasions to chat with the owner, Gia, and she's a lovely woman. She told me how she got started in the business. She'd spent several years volunteering for The Bill Foundation adoption events and realized that her passion is animals, dogs in particular. That's how she ended up with Pour La Pooch. She's so great with the dogs. When we come in, she always comes out from behind her counter and gets down on the floor with Lemon and hugs her and plays a little before they march into the back for a wash and haircut. It's a very friendly place and I've seen her with other customers and its always the personal treatment. It's been a great experience and I'll continue to take any dogs I parent there. Word to the wise: parking on Beverly's a little tricky at rush hours and leave yourself a little extra time at drop off, since they take in a lot of dogs in the a.m. and it gets busy at drop off time.
