My spouse and I both have both gone to Mt. Airy Family Practice for years and we highly recommend it. The doctors have always been competent and friendly. When my great aunt got ill and came to live with us a few years ago, she got her local medical care from Dr. Lewis. She said she wanted to take him home with her when she left! \r

I am not sure what to make of the comments about racism. Many of my neighbors use this practice and I have only heard positive comments, from both blacks and whites. The couple next door(two women) have started going there and told me they are thinking of switching their kids there because they feel so welcome. I am glad we have this practice in our neighborhood.
Pros: competent medical care, nice staff
Cons: they are not vets, too
