My sister's shower was on a Saturday. My mother wrote down the date for the man, even called and showed up a few times to make sure the order would go perfectly. Well, when a bridesmaid went to pick up the cake, he said he thought the shower was on Sunday. He said he would make one real fast. She waited there for 45 minutes while he threw together a horrible looking cake, with uneven layers, smears on the top and crappy cursive writing. It was just a mess. But the girl had no choice but to rush to the hall with it looking a mess. Thankfully it tasted like heaven. I went there after the shower to tell him how I felt and all he could say was, "I'm sorry, but only God is perfect!" I didn't even want money back, I just wanted him to offer something besides a half-@ss apology.
