We were very dissatisfied by our return trip to the Mill Race Inn! While we didn't have an issue with our server at all as she was great, the managers are less than customer-centric. \r \r My husband and I went to lunch and tried to use a gift certificate. We were told in a less than friendly manner by the managers that the certificate was given under old owners and that it didn't make sense for them to accept it as they would just lose money on it. They also said that it was 5 years old, even though we pointed out that it specifically stated there was no expiration date. \r \r We would have gone somewhere else that didn't charge us $30 for a basic lunch if we knew that was the case. While the atmosphere was unique, the food average and the treatment by the managers was definitely a reason not to go back. It was pretty empty in there, so I would have thought they would have been happier to have clients.\r Pros: We didn't have a problem with our server at all, as she was prompt, friendly and apologetic. Cons: I'd rather go to a restaurant where the owners value their clientele. more
