I live down the street from Handle Bar and Grill and while I will admit the food is great, I dont think customer service is a part of the training. Its almost routine. I went in there about 3 months ago and we were seated promptly. The waitress took our orders rather quick but once she was done with that we didnt see her again until she dropped of the check seeing that our drinks were empty and had been for at least 15 minutes. Someone else brought out the food.We went in there today and it was almost a repeat of the last time. We were seated promptly and our orders were taken rather quick and again someone else brought out the food and our waitress showed up at the end to drop off the check without ever asking how the food was or if we wanted refills. Keep in mind it wasnt very busy at all. There were maybe 6 or 7 tables seated and they had at least 4 waitresses working. I notice that the parking lot doesnt get as full as it use to and with the way the customer service is I now understand why. Maybe instead of spending money putting a new spiffy sign on the corner they should instead use that money teaching the waitstaff how to be a little more service oriented. Afterall they are not entitled to a tip simply because they wait tables, they still have to earn it.
Pros: Great food, original decor
Cons: bad service, small parking lot
