They use to have some good Mechnics 3/21/2008

I took my 99 A4 1.8T Quattro in about 2 yrs ago due to my timingbelt tensioner pulley failing.( If your a 1.8t AEB engine owner you know all about it). Guys wouldn't use parts I supplied for the job because ""They needed to source the parts"" in laymens terms , Jackup the price! After finally getting a remanufactured head and after 3 months of waiting for a simple 10 hr job they fixed it and had it running fine but also WOULD NOT let me drive off under their warranty since my turbo bypass valve was going out and needed to be replaced/rebuilt. So again add another 2 weeks on to 3 months and they had it fixed. Needless to say I was nickel and dimed and the only reason I took it to them was because my disgust with Austin Audi. Total cost to me was about $4300. They charged me $1300 for a remn head when I looked up for parts I sourced one for $800 with a full 1 yr warranty, and they said ""They need to source the parts"" once again I guess that $4300 was an expensive mistake to learn not to take my car here. I even had more knowledge when they tried to get me to upgrade to a K04 and I kept asking what about the ECU map it will need a reflash from either APR or GIAC and even then was told it wouldn't need it. Hopefully these guys have a better crew and a manager who wants to support Austin Vw/Audi owners with quality work and fair pricing. But my past exp was a headache. I personally would have done the work myself but when I decided to grab my car all of a sudden it was taken apart the next day and I was told the mechnic broke his arm. Go figure great way to keep a customer. Pros: Location easy to have your car dropped off in their lot, when they fix something its usually done fairly well Cons: Price!!! Somewhat deceitful tactics (in the past) to not warranty their work more
