While the pastures are overgrazed and the water troughs are sometimes low and not scrubbed out, the care and concern for the animal is what Marie and Don care about. I've had my horse there for 3 years and the Cartee's have been very accommodating. They will blanket on request which is nice if you can't make it to the barn. They do go through a lot of help but what barn doesn't? If I feel my horses stall needs to be cleaned better or needs extra bedding I will do it myself. I would do that at any barn I boarded at.I do believe pasture rotation and extra hay would be nice. But, my horse is well fed and cared for and that's what is most important. I've been at a lot of barns and Cartee's is just fine. Marie and Don are great.
