That's right, Derrick's is even better than Cha Cha Cha! I've been several times. I've spoken to Derrick himself and he's a delight! The food is always spectacular (with the exception of their salads) and the portions are huge. Last time i was adventurous and tried the goat which was fantastic!\r
THe only CON to Derrick's is the location. It's sort of hidden behind a fast food restaurant and this horribly weird intersection between Centinella, La Tijera, and La Cienega. Took me half an hour to find it the first time. At least the parking's free once I found it!
