Over a year ago, I went to the Cut Salon, because I was new to the area, saw the reviews on Citysearch, and needed a reasonably priced haircut. Needless to say, I went with little expectation. Much to my delight, I met a very talented stylist--Jean (aka ""the Irish one)-- whom I have since become a loyal fan and client. She has given me great cuts and highlights in the year plus that I have been going to her (and I am often asked where I get my haircut). When I want any type of change, I ask Jean's advice, and she has given me her professional opinion about what looks good and what doesn't. I have complete faith in her talent, and think she is hilarious as well--something a Chicagoean can appreciate. \r

As for the salon, it is less pretentious than the other salons of Santa Monica. I have spent a lot more at other places and have been a lot less satisfied. From my perspective, excellent value and talent.
