I know why the stylists at Fantastic Sams hate it when they are compared to other chain salons. I had a Fantastic experience at Fantastic Sams. I was greeted by a happy smiling face, not a sign in sheet. I was told how long it would be before I would be seen(10 minutes) I was offered a bottle of water and a magazine to look at while I waited. The stylist called my name, not like my pizza was up next, but softly because she was right in front of me. She escorted me to her chair. She spent several minutes with me talking about what I expected from my haircut, how much time I spent on my hair etc. She escorted me to the shampoo area where I recieved the best shampoo I have ever had in any salon. She massaged my scalp not once but twice. She suggested a deep conditioning treatment to correct the dry feeling of my hair from drying and flat ironing. I sat under a dryer for about 10 minutes, very relaxing. She then escorted me back to the shampoo area where she gave me another massage and a cool rinse. I felt great, the hair cut would just be icing on the cake. We had decided that I would keep my current style and that she would trim 3/4"" off all over. Guess what? She did just that. She talked to me about haircare products that she felt I needed for my hair type and dried my hair. I looked great! I purchased one of the products she reccommended. My total, $53.00, less than they charge at other salons without the great service. I am sold. I had a Fantastic experience at Fantastic Sams and I plan on telling everyone.
Pros: Great staff, experience stylists, friendly atmospher, great personal service.
Cons: They decor was a little worn and could use some updating
