Animal lovers will tell you to never buy a pet from a pet store but you think this is the Beverly Center so how bad can it be? The animal lovers were right. We fell in love with an adorable puppy and purchased him from Pet Love. We were told he was $2,000 because he had champion bloodlines otherwise he would be less. I took him to the recommended vet, Dr. Werber at Century Veterinary Group, who asked me if the puppy had been neutered. His paperwork said he wasn't fixed so the vet says the puppy may have a condition where his testicles haven't descended. While we were waiting to find out if he needed a very expensive surgery, the general manager at Pet Love, Naide Ianelli, calls me and tells me the sales associate gave us the wrong paperwork. We go to exchange papers and find our puppy isn't a champion but Naide says it doesn't change the price because "all dogs are the same." I tell her you can't lie to buyers like that and she proceeds to call me "a stupid woman" and verbally insult me. I ask to speak to the owner, Ilan Elian, but Naide will not give me his contact information nor the correct paperwork for the dog. I am tired of arguing so I say I'm going to speak with a lawyer and then she grabs my purse off my shoulder and starts screaming that I am stealing from her and call security. Now I am mad and I yell back "How have I stolen from you when I paid for this dog and you won't fix the mistake and give me his paperwork?" She must have been shocked I yelled back because she let me go and I left. Because the vet is good friends with the owner and all of my puppy's shots were done by him, I asked if he could help me get the correct paperwork as the owner hasn't returned my calls to the store. The vet agreed to help but nothing has come of it. Fortunately, the puppy doesn't need surgery because he was fixed and he is a wonderful companion. I only worry because I have some other dog's paperwork and I can't get mine.
Pros: I've known two puppies from Pet Love and they are great pets
