Decent Bar with the Ego of a Better Bar 8/19/2007

Arnies SRO has a few flat screen TVs that always have the game on (+), plenty of bareable seating (+), and crowded bar space (+/-). It seems like a good bar to go in for a drink or two, but I wouldn't want to get caught up in the crowd. Don't fall for the canned reviews. Arnies SRO has a lot of positives, but friendly is one thing this bar is not. The bartenders (male and female +) are what comes across as suspicious of new people. The clientel is clique-ish. As with any bar, you can decern between the regulars and the people who just wandered in. If you want service, be the former. This bar wants to be high class, but it's really not. They have natural light on tap for heaven sake. When I went in the women's toilet was broken and the impromptu ""unisex"" bathroom had one battered toilet. The pool table and cues (+) are in sad shape (-) and run by the confrontational regulars (- -). What I'm saying: Arnies SRO is a decent bar with the ego of a better one. Pros: Nice atmosphere Cons: Not Friendly more
