I have been hearing ""you'll have it back in a week"" from these guys for almost three months. I brought my Banjo in for a simple restringing. Now I'm being threatened with small claims courts. They didn't even look at my instrument for the first week. Then they said that they wouldn't do any work because the head needed repairs. One of the guys there said he'd take it to a repair shop for a ""second opinion"". When i called the guy back (a week later), he told me that he'd okay'd the repairs... without consulting me... and that it was going to cost $70. I told him that i had no money to pay for that, and never said that they should go ahead with any repairs that it may have needed. He told me no problem, he'd call them and stop them from doing the work. I called back a week later, and he said that they'd already done the repairs but, after much discussion, agreed to pay for it himself, and that I should ""have it in a week"". I or someone i know have called back three times since then, and always hear i should ""have it in a week"". This last time, i spoke with the owner, and not only did she say that they weren't going to pay for it, she also tried to guilt trip me for not wanting the repairs, and when i still would not relent and pay for the repairs that i didn't approve, she threatened to take me to small claims court. \r \r These guys never called me once in the two and a half month they've had my instrument. There seems to be no communication within the people who work there and the owner, and i feel like i've been led on a wild goose chase for my instrument. The owner is callous and unfriendly, whenever i speak to her it always seems like i'm bothering her. She doesn't listen to anything i have to say, and although i've tried to communicate that $70 is a lot of money to me, it never seems to get through. Although it seems like the other two guys were trying their best to leave me a satisfied customer, it just isn't enough. Buyer beware. more
