Location, Location, Location....That is about all I can say about the Hyatt Regency in Savannah. If you like to be in the middle of the action and able to walk anywhere in the Historic District, then I would suggest the Hyatt. To sum it up, it is a hotel that was probably built in the 70s/80s with a horrible facade and sticks out like a sore thumb in the midst of all of the other hotels around it that might be new but match the architecture of Historic Savannah. The hotel in itself is nothing special at all. My room was clean and the furniture and bedding were nice, but the room and bathroom were nothing I couldn't get at a Days Inn. In fact, take away the nice counter top in the bathroom and I would say I was staying in a Days Inn. This is not up to standard with other Hyatt's I have stayed at, but if you don't mind paying for a great location, then this might be your place. The staff was friendly, but they weren't very helpful when I had questions. I would recommend the Marriott down the street if you are looking for a top tier hotel with the quality you would expect, I have stayed there and loved it. I would definitely stay here at the Hyatt again, but the price would have to be right, otherwise I would stay down the street and get more for my money.
Pros: Location
Cons: Room Quality, Price
