My husband COOGS and I have been regulars here for a couple of years now, coming 2-3 times per week to play NTN/Buzztime trivia with our friends. Mezz offers an all-around great experience, from the attentive staff to the food (the Mezzy burger is a world unto itself, while COOGS swears by the nachos) to the ambience (lots of things to do even for the non-trivia player, including pool, karoaoke, Golden Tee, and and Texas Hold 'Em). The Mezzanine rightfully won the Houston Press ""Reader's Choice"" award this year for best drink specials, from its $2.50 U-Call-It Tuesdays to the Fiesta Fridays where both Dos Equis and margaritas come in also at $2.50.\r

Owners Tonya and Tommy put a lot of energy into coming up with even more ways for people to have fun, from the monthly theme party to the new Wednesday movie night on the patio with free popcorn. Plus this is ""the"" place to celebrate a birthday--as we both will be doing this week: the enormous ""Gullywasher"" for the birthday person, plus free drink tickets if at least 10 friends come along and $10 of Mezzy bucks. \r

All in all, a wonderful place for people of varying ages and interests to come together and enjoy themselves.
