Rick's is a cool little place right across from the UT campus, almost a hole-in-the-wall. There is a cheap looking sign out front usually advertising some sort of color/cut special, and although the inside always looks like they're in some phase of remodeling, the quality of the service is anything but cheap! The sylists are super talented, and give edgy cuts, but the atmosphere is not at all snooty like some of the salons on Congress or near 6th street. They take walk-in's or appointments, and I think I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $75 for a layered cut, highlights, AND lowlights! --It was one of those Rick specials!!! Def. worth a try!!
