This may be the only restaurant in LA where the attractive intelligence, kindness, and professionalism of the wait staff at once proves they are not wannabes looking for other jobs, and makes you desperately want to hire them onto your team. It's one thing to be served a plate of cheese. It's quite another to have your waiter hand pick selections based on the bottle of wine you brought, and tell you the story of the elderly couple in Holland or the co-op of Danish farmers who made each sampling. I'd recommend ordering 3 or 4 dishes for two people just so you can try several items at once...and the mac and cheese as a hearty appetizer. The prices are reasonable enough to allow for it, and the leftovers are even better the next day...or later than night when the gourmet gouda in your 'fridge begins calling.
Pros: Cheese! ...and a staff who knows how to dish it up.
Cons: Have to bring your own wine for now.
