We chose this restaurant because of the reviews and scores on CitySearch - often do. I have to really rate this restaurant low to creat the average score and nature that we endured. For the price of the food and the distant staff it lost its ranking as worthy of a "special night". We don't mind paying for a special meal - this just doesn't come close. The decorative style was lovely, but everything else weighed heavy on our night. We actually opted quickly for aptzers only and went on our way. The chef seems to force odd additions to otherwise spooky food. Soft boiled qual eggs just do not add flavor to anything. They even managed to ruin tomato soup I ordered as an aptzr. Again, menu is bizarre, food is over spiced even for French, the staff is bored and everybody eating there seemed to be looking around in amazement to see if anyone else was eating their dishes. Find another romantic spot!
