An nice inexpensive hotel in such a prime location? Is it possible? No. No it's not. It's a rip off. Stay away. Dirty, uncomfortable, rude staff. If you don't believe me, check the reviews on the web site tripadvisor (there are 27 total), the most recent (May and June 2006) with headlines like "Please Do Not Stay Here" and "My WORST hotel experience EVER!" (capitalization in the original). One of the reviewers there said she found a dirty needle in her room. If you're into a flop-house chic thing you might dig it, but if you want a decent place to sleep. forget it.
