We used Durkin cottages to find a winter rental, and I regret working with them. The cottage we rented did not have adequate heating, and the heat went out in the middle of the winter. It took days to be repaired, and we had to stay with friends. All of this would have been somewhat excusable if the owner of the cottage and Durkin hadn't been aware that year after year they have the same problem at this cottage and yet they continue to rent it out. That seems very irresponsible. \r

I also had a problem with the owners taking out part of the deposit for bogus claims. Durkin was unwilling to help, and I had to resort to writing the owner myselves to get the rest of my deposit back.\r

Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend using Durkin realty.
