Adjacent to a newspaper stand on Ventura and Van Nuys, Pita Kitchen is a basic, casual Mediterranean joint. But they also serve the best lamb pita for $5.50. I live a few blocks away, and I'm able to bring my dog over and sit out on the sidewalk patio. The hummus and other sides are also first rate.
