I think I was there on the SAME night as Tess! I was compelled to write - That's so funny how you described the aloof bartender and his too-cool little assistant. I totally agree. Would it hurt them to actually smile a little? Geez. I actually liked the space - but would have enjoyed it more if it were less crowded. But then I guess I would be forced to stare at the aloof (borderline rude) bartender all night. I did like the lychee martini though.
I read through some of the reviews and the great ones are exxagerated and must be written from friends of the bar bc the place is OK but not 'amazing'. No staff that 'busted their butts' all night and our host was not 'bombarded with phone calls' of people to find out more about the place. overall - just ok...
