So-so food and way too expensive. I have been to this restaurant several times only because it is the only Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood. I kept giving it another try despite repeated disappointments. The sushi and sashimi aren't bad but they are too pricey for what they are. If you befriend the manager, sushi chef or the owner, you can actually ask for the freshest ingredients of the day from the sushi bar. Chicken teriyaki is always cooked extremely dry and the sauce is way too sweet. Udon is basically overcooked noodles in salty hot liquids. (I'm pretty sure they use fronzen udon that are sold in supermarkets.) Oyakodon is way too sweet and salty. Generally all the entrees I've tried have been too salty. San Francisco has many quality Japanese restaurants to offer and this is certainly not one of them.
Pros: Nice decor
Cons: Below average food
