This chain of hotels has developed a unique niche. They cater to those travellers needing an extended stay. However, they also seem to appreciate the average 1-2 night type as well. What I like about Candlewood is that each room is equiped with a full kitchen and generous bathroom. There are VCR's in every room. To make customers feel more at home, they offer at no charge a selection of movies you can borrow. CD's as well. There is an exercise room with basic equipment, but they add a TV to keep you entertained while you sweat! There is also a mini-grocery store open 24 hours inside that offers a wide selection of easily prepared meals (mac n. cheese, frozen entrees, sandwiches), snacks (yogurt, candy bars, popcorn, chips), and drinks (sodas, coffees, teas, bottled water). The prices are SO reasonable and you purchase the items based on the honor system (what a unique concept!).
