It's not easy to find someone who can cut coarse, unmanageable hair well. Eri at Akane listened to my specific needs - in particular, the fact that I don't spend any time grooming my hair. I don't blowdry my hair or use a straightening iron.
She didn't spend a lot of time styling my hair (like most hair stylists) but spent most of the time actually cutting. She experimented with my hair type and cut accordingly. It took a long time (2 hours total) which included wait time but in the end I was happy with the results.
At first, I wasn't too sure about the place because the front desk person didn't speak english very well but she spoke well enough to set up my appointment. The staff are very friendly and professional.
