OK seriously, it's not a horrible course...it's not the best public course in Austin by any stretch of the imagination either. Hancock is compact, short, and the greens are hard, but it's inexpensive and conveiniently located in Central Austin. Other golfers I've run into on the course are generally pretty nice, tee-times are easy to come by, and you can walk nine in a little over an hour depending on who's in front of you. At $8.50 it's a steal, and way more entertaining than going to the driving range.
Pros: Inexpensive, Location, Nice Staff
Cons: Compact, Hard Greens, short, short, short
