Great greasy burgers served by a one-man kitchen with varying levels of surliness. The fries are good but not great, it's the burgers and the sheer incredulity of the place's location and atmosphere that make it a great experience.
I actually recommend Mike's as a good date spot, if you are dating an around-the-way-girl who finds holes in the wall charming/funny and likes burgers and beer -- Mike's is a good pre-drinking-date spot.
Mike's is in the top 3 greasy burgers in Austin in my opinion, along with Casino El Camino and Dirty Martin's.
