Yes...the rumors are true. Jean Louis David is the worst place in NYC to get your haircut. I just moved to NY and was outraged at how expensive haircuts were so I tried JLD thinking Id get a deal. The cut and blow dry was $40 which, in NYC, is pretty cheap. But GOD..what an awful haircut! The stylist showed absolutely no precision or skill whatsoever. Most of ths staff were not very fluent in English and had a really hard time understanding what I was asking for. The only way I'd recommend this place is if you didnt have a lot of hair and just needed a very minor trim...most guys could probably get away with a cut from here...but women..BE WARNED!! I had to pay another $75 at a good salon to repair the atrocious job done at a Jean Louis David Salon.
