Our last several visits to the Dixie Cafe on Poplar have been NIGHTMARES! On our last visit, the waitress asked us three times to repeat our order. We were ordering salads; it isn't that complicated! She then vanished and, after 50 minutes of waiting, we left. She had not checked on us, explained the delay, brought the food, etc. We won't be back. This place has gotten unpardonably bad. Also, on a recent visit, a waitress stood on a ladder by the table next to us, sweeping dust bunnies down out of the ceiling vent. This is an activity for dining hours?
