I was a ski instructor before I blew out my ACL. Since then I've been snowboarding, and now I teach that instead. Breck is a great mountain for riding and skiing, but it is not as user-friendly as it could be. Long lines, separate peaks, and lengthy flats (which are especially hard on snowboarders) detract from how great the mountain is for actual skiing. First-timers may also have a tough time since the teaching areas are small and crowded.
Pros: good snow, variety of runs, snowboarding park
Cons: crowded near lifts, lots of lift time
