Tamarine is new and has a few kinks to work out. One major one is pricing. Everyone is doing small plates these days, but theirs (true to the word ""small"") were $18-21. The food was good, but for the price, I felt completely ripped off. Think appetizer size for $20! Service is another sore spot. Our waiter was friendly but completely spacy. His recommended # of dishes was way too much for our table. I couldn't help but feel he was just trying to boost our check total. Also, stay away from the banana wontons. They lacked ANY banana at all. They were completely hollow except for a drizzle of chocolate sauce! The lychee sorbet is GREAT, though. The one high point of the meal. Unless you have cash to burn, I would wait until this place figures out they cannot commit highway robbery.
