I grew up on Pepe's Tamales. We would always get them for the holidays even though we had to get up early and stand in line forever to get them. Since we moved, I have tried plenty of other tamales, but none of them even comes close! Ever time we go through El Paso for something, we take a big cooler and buy several dozens and then freeze them so that they will last for awhile. They have several different kinds (pork, green chile, and chicken) and they are all good. My favorite is the pork ones. The chicken ones are a little hot for me, but my husband loves them. Their prices are very reasonable.
