This dentist was recommended to me by a friend when I was having an awful toothache and didn't have a regular dentist at the time. I was able to get an appointment the next day. I think they knew that I was a little nervous, but they went a little overboard on the kindness. I, as a woman in my 30's, didn't need a stress ball and a teddy bear to hold onto while they checked my tooth, and later ended up pulling it. It was very convenient to be able to get in so quickly, though, and everyone was very nice. I also had a filling done here, which I've since found from another dentist may not have been done entirely correctly. If you're a nervous patient, they will do everything they can to make you relax.
