The Greenville Zoo is located right in Downtown Greenville. The Zoo is great for day trips or field trips for kids of all ages. There are many different types of animals to observe, from elephants and giraffes to lions, tigers, and alligators. There is a small petting area with farm animals, a reptile house, and lots of flamingos and other types of birds. There is also an exhibit available in which the zoo staff offers fun and educational hands-on sessions with your group. Adjacent to the Zoo is Cleveland Park, offering large playground areas and picnic areas, as well as walking and biking trails. This is a great area to take your kids for a day trip.
