Long wait - poor customer service 1/23/2009

My wife and I have gone to Dr Carpenter's office for over 15 years, however I have never been happy about the wait time incurred when going for an appointment. Today (1-23-2009) was the final straw and we are now looking for a new doctor. My wife and I recently changed medical plans (same medical provider) and simply called Dr.Carpenters office to request that they confirm a prescription for the new plan that was already in place prior to the change. My wife was placed on hold three times with two of those calls going to a voice mail and the third being hung up on. Unfortunately **NO ONE** in their office wants to do much of anything and getting assistance over the phone is a major ordeal. Too bad as we really like the doctors, however the support staff desperately needs to know "WHAT" pays for their salary. We are now searching for a doctors office that actually cares about the patient. Does anyone have any suggestions?? more
