Beware of their "One Simple Price" Scam 8/3/2014

This morning, 8/2/14, I sent an inquiry through the Honda website for a 2014 Honda Odyssey. I received an email from the manager, Keith Keller, stating that the MSRP for the Honda Odyssey we drove was $42,710, and my "One Simple Price" was $36,798. My wife and I discussed the price and I went to Gunn Honda to purchase the vehicle. Since Gunn Honda does "says" they don't haggle and they always sell the vehicle of the same price and never deceive the public, I was confident. When I arrived, he had the numbers on the sales form for the Honda Odyssey listed at $39,500. I stated the email that the manager, Keith sent from Gunn Honda stated my “one Simple Price was $36,798. He left for about 5 minutes and returned with the manager, Keith Keller; and Keith stated that "they made a mistake" and they would be happy to sell me the vehicle at cost which was $38,500.00 and people make mistakes and he was sorry. Here we go, the ol' "we made a mistake, but we'll be happy to sell the car for cost" trick.?? Let's give them the benefit of doubt for one minute and just assume that there is a 0.00000001% chance that it could have been a mistake. Don't you think a reputable dealership would just stand by their written "One Simple Price" promise and just take care of their loyal returning customer? If Gunn had a good reputation and wanted to maintain it, they would just admit it was a mistake, honor the written price they game me, and reduce the price a mere $1,702.00 and take care of their loyal returning customer that lives in the neighborhood?? Of course a reputable company would, but Gunn did not. Beware of Gunn's One Simple Price, it's just a scam and a way of getting you into the dealership and wasting your time!! There is too much honorable, respectable, and reputable competition in San Antonio to waste your time with a Gunn Dealership. Gunn Spends millions of dollars a year advertising but they still haven't learned that word of mouth, honor, and reputation are the best forms of advertising. more
