Did not love it like I thought I would... 6/18/2011

Good: Upon first glance the pool looks like kiddie pool dream: not overly crowded, rubber floors, small slides in three different areas of the pool, and a mellow atmosphere with little spashing. Great for little kids, right? Enter the evil teenage squad of life guards from Hell.... Bad: No floaties allowed! No floating tubes! No toys! No lingering at bottom of slide! (Even enough to get bearings after hitting head on tube slide!) Life jackets only! (Which oddly enough were not allowed on the big tube slide, but the 2 & 6 year old were still allowed to go down it with no floaties or life-jackets!) So, the constant putting on and taking off of life-jackets was not my cup of tea. Also being told "what not to do" every five seconds by teenagers is where this 30 year mom gets angy & annoyed.. Improvements: Kids need to be allowed to wear floaties. Life jackets cause kids to be off balanced. Especially the little ones trying to get a sense of balance to learn to swim. Life guards, SIMMER DOWN! OCD is not the answer to safety.. Other: Bottom line? Too many rules=no fun. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally the type of parent that goes over-board on safety, especially when it comes to water. This place though is beserk with regulations and the teenage legions enforcing them. If you want fun go to the Payson pool. It's outdoor and floaties ARE allowed. Much more fun there, and my kids agree on that as well.. more
