After my wife and I test drove a Honda CRV-EXL model, and decided to do some comparison shopping and try out the new Chevrolet Equinox. After we met the salesman and told him that we were interested in the Equinox, he tried to get us to test drive a Traverse vehicle because another couple had just completed their test drive in it. I reiterated that we were interested in the Equinox vehicle and were doing some comparison shopping. The salesman then told us that Chevrolet could not compete with the Honda unit which stunned us. Needless to say we left the dealership, but have not given up on the Chevrolet. We drove a 1983 El Camino to the dealership so we are well aware of the Chevy product.
The older salesman definately needs more training even if it is cold outside and he apparently wanted to go back inside. We are shopping at another dealership that wants our business.
